If you just signed up to receive Social Security or disability benefits and need to fill out the Social Security Direct Deposit Form (FS Form 1200), we can help. Additionally, if you are already receiving benefits and need to change your direct deposit information, this post will walk you through how to do that.
In this post, we will explain what information you need to complete the Social Security Direct Deposit Form.
This form applies, regardless of when you start taking Social Security, whether at age 62, 65, 66, 67, or 70.
Also, if you are receiving Social Security benefits and live outside the United States, you can have your benefits direct deposited into a bank in your country of residence.
However, the Social Security Administration only sends benefits to International Direct Deposit (IDD) participating countries.
For your convenience, we have provided a list of countries eligible for Direct Deposit of Social Security and the form (SSA-1199 Form) you need to download for that country.
See our guide on how to set up Direct Deposit online and by phone.
